What Is HHCP?

HHC

Our new gummies are packed with different cannabinoids- delta 8, HHC, THCP, and HHCP.  We have plenty of content on HHC and delta 8 if you need a refresher, plus we just recently covered THCP.  But what exactly is HHCP?  Learn all about this new cannabinoid, and be sure to try it for yourself in our Crispy Apple, Peach Ringer, or Pineapple Haze gummies.

THCP- Where it all began

In order to understand HHCP, we have to understand THCP.  THCP was only recently discovered in 2019 by a team of Italian scientists.  It is a naturally occurring cannabinoid, and it was found to bind to CB1 receptors over thirty times more than delta 9 THC.  These scientists had discovered an absolute powerhouse of potent cannabinoid by total accident!  Some users have described the high to be ten times as powerful.  With the knowledge of this super strong cannabinoid, scientists decided to take things a step further.

What makes THCP more powerful than regular delta 9 THC is the extra carbon atoms.  Just like HHC is the hydrogenated form of CBD, HHCP is the hydrogenated form of THCP.  Both THCP and HHCP deliver seriously strong highs.  Definitely proceed with caution if you’ve never tried them before, or if you generally have a lower tolerance to cannabis and hemp products.

The Endocannabinoid System

Another key to understanding HHCP is the endocannabinoid system.  The endocannabinoid system reacts with the endocannabinoids present within our own bodies.  Weirdly enough, the phytocannabinoids present in hemp and cannabis are extremely similar on a molecular level.  Among other things, the endocannabinoid system is responsible for regulating sleep, mood, appetite, and memory.

The ECS is comprised of CB1 and CB2 receptors.  Both of those receptors interact with the cannabinoids that exist in hemp and cannabis.  CB1 receptors are found in the central nervous system while CB2 receptors are located in our immune tissues.  HHCP specifically binds to the CB1 receptors, many of which are located in the brain.  This is why the high is so potent.  The extra carbon molecules cause HHCP to bind to the CB1 receptors at a much higher rate than traditional HHC.

Is HHCP legal?

Like all of the cannabinoids on our site, HHCP is federally legal due to the 2018 Farm Bill.  This bill legalized hemp on a federal level, and since HHCP is made from hemp derived cannabinoids, it is considered legal.  Since this bill has been passed, however, individual states have been penning legislation to stop the sale of psychoactive cannabinoids.  HHCP is not quite as popular as delta 8 (yet), so it has not been banned by name.  That being said, these states have been cracking down on psychoactive hemp, so it’s safe to say that would include HHCP:

  • Alaska
  • Arizona
  • Arkansas
  • Colorado
  • Delaware
  • Idaho
  • Iowa
  • Mississippi
  • Montana
  • Nevada
  • New York
  • North Dakota
  • Rhode Island
  • Utah
  • Vermont
  • Washington

Always be aware of the laws in your area as new rules and regulations seem to be popping up almost constantly.

While HHCP is still a new player in the game, what we do know so far is pretty exciting.  More research is definitely needed to fully understand it, but such a potent cannabinoid has serious potential to make a serious impact in the hemp and cannabis industry.

HHCP Gummies

If you’re curious about trying HHC’s beast of a cousin, snag some of our gummies in our online store.  They’re made with live resin, which means you’re getting the maximum amount of terpenes in the finished product.  Other harvesting methods tend to cause terpene loss or damage.  If you’re interested in learning more about live resin, check this out.

Our gummies are also packed with multiple cannabinoids, so you never have to settle for just one.  Experience the iconic entourage effect for yourself!  If you don’t already know, the entourage effect describes the way cannabinoids and terpenes work together synergistically to create a better experience than you would have if you were consuming just one isolated cannabinoid.

Just remember, the effects from edibles are not felt instantaneously, so definitely start small and wait at least a few hours before grabbing that second serving.  Not only are DVNT gummies made with potent cannabinoids, but they also are high dose and will seriously pack a punch. Be sure to read this if you’re interested in learning more about how edibles actually work.

Be ahead of the trend and try HHCP before everyone else finally catches on.  Choose DVNT for all your cannabinoid cravings.  Rest assured that we’ve got you covered with a 98% customer satisfaction rating and organic and lab tested products.
